These Are Perfect For Potlucks, Parties and So Much More
Can we have a talk about cheesecake? I always felt like a total weirdo growing up because i just DID NOT LIKE IT. The taste, the texture—it all just turned me off. And as a member of a cheesecake loving family you could say I was considered a bit of an odd duck.
I remember having it for nearly every family occasion. My grandma’s cheesecake was legendary among family and friends. It was requested for birthday parties, holiday gatherings and a few of my older cousins even has it as a dessert for their weddings. And every time we were together she’d serve me a big ’ol slice—saying that this would be the time I’d finally change my mind.
And i have to say that as a child it seemed impossible to think I’d ever love this creamy, tangy dessert. In fact, for a few years I stubbornly refused to try it again. I was simply convinced it was not for me.
Then suddenly something happened, my tastes started changing, and during a moment of weakness while visiting my grandparents I decided to end my self-imposed cheesecake ban and try a couple bites. As my grandma waited expectantly for my review.
It happened. I had turned into a cheesecake lover.
