These Birthday Cake Cinnamon Rolls are a massive hit with anyone who tries them.
I’ll be the first to admit I tend not to mess with the classics. After all, as the old saying goes, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” But, boy, am I glad I strayed from my usual habits when I stumbled across this recipe to ring in a friend’s birthday a few weeks ago!
I should have had someone take a picture when I took the cover of the pan. Her eyes got so big—and I swear you could already see her mind planning on having seconds (which she definitely did!). As the resident baker of our friend group I’m usually the one whipping up treats for birthday celebrations, but as this particular friend isn’t a huge fan of cake I had to get a little creative.
Thankfully a quick online search never seems to let me down. So after just a few recipes that either looked way too complicated or unworthy of such a special occasion I settled on these sweet treats. A twist on a classic favorite that will bring joy to anyone you share them with (birthday not required!).

Quick tip: To make these cinnamon rolls fit any holiday stick to a regular white or yellow cake mix and add in holiday-colored sprinkles like green and red for Christmas.
