You’ll Fall Head-Over-Heels For These Delicious, Easy, Quick and Healthy Wraps!
Nguyet (pronounced “Wick”) is a cook I recently discovered when I was looking for wrap recipes to try. She really impressed me with this wrap she created, as I had never thought of pairing salmon and guacamole, nor have I seen it served together in a restaurant. I just happened to have some leftover salmon and an avocado on-hand, so I took this simple, easy-to-prepare recipe for a test drive.
What a taste treat! The buttery taste of the salmon was really brought out by the silky sweetness of the guacamole, and the smokehouse bacon I used the first time I made this (Yes, I’ve made it twice now!), coupled with just a bit of jalapeno, gave it a smoky, salty heat. It was perfect!
As Nguyet herself puts it, “These salmon, guacamole, bacon wraps are a tasty change from the usual fare and require only a little bit more effort.” I have to disagree with that last part, though. It really was no effort at all to make the guacamole. The avocado didn’t even put up a fight!
If you are a salmon lover and if you like guacamole, the next time you are wondering what to have for lunch or dinner, give this wrap a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised, just like I was.

Quick Tip: If you don’t feel like standing over a hot stove, frying up a few slices of bacon, you could do what I did the second time I made this: I used fully-cooked turkey bacon! It had great smoky taste, very little fat and required no cooking at all. Another thing you could do, if you are having to cook your salmon anyway, is to lay out your bacon on a foil-lined baking sheet and pop it into the oven to roast right alongside the fish. Usually you have a mess to clean up after frying bacon, but if you line a baking sheet with foil, you can just toss it away after you finish dinner.
