Make These For Your Kiddoes Lunches And Watch Their Eyes Light Up
I’m ashamed to admit it, but after two decades of denying it would happen I’ve finally turned into my mother. I spend way too much time clipping grocery store coupons, enjoy a neighborhood gossip session a little more than I should, and have started to refuse to buy my kids store bought snacks because they’re full of ingredients I can’t pronounce.
I’ll admit the first two habits maybe weren’t the best ones I could’ve picked up but the third one I’m glad I finally came to my senses on. After spending a lot of time (and money) trying to find grocery store brand items that I still felt good about giving to my kids (and eating myself) I decided that enough was enough. I could make my own snacks that tasted just as good.
Once I made the decision I could almost hear my mother say “I told you so!” from three counties away. But I was determined to stick with it. At first my kids were a little hesitant to warm up to the idea—they definitely has some favorites that I used to buy—but they’ve now fully come around.
And I think this recipe is part of the reason why.
