Break Out the Grill For This Argentinian Delicacy
Is there anything better than a tasty grilled steak? I can’t think of a thing I’d rather have in the summer, or any time of the year really. At special events, steak is just a given in my family. But recently I started to notice that the standard go-to of steak and salad had started to lose some of its luster. So I went hunting for a way to make steak a little more exciting. What I came up with was this delicious recipe by Jo Cooks.
In Argentina, steak is more than just a grilled piece of meat with a tasty natural flavor. There, they roll out a thin flank steak, stuff it, and grill it – and what happens is called Matambre. It’s a delicious take on steak, with zingy, savory flavors adding to the wonderful flavor of the flank steak. I made it once and it was so good, I didn’t even want to share. I’ll have to work on that for next time – or maybe the time after. Big thanks to Jo Cooks for sharing such an amazing recipe. It’s already been requested for the next big family meal, and I have plans to try it out as a filling for tacos as well. And the best part is that it doesn’t take many ingredients at all.

Quick tip: If you don’t’ get the steak evenly sliced, don’t worry – just beat it to an even thickness with a mallet.
