If You’re A Vegetarian, This Recipe Is NOT For You
I’m sure you like burgers. You HAVE to like burgers. Unless you’re a vegetarian. If that’s the case, then this recipe is not for you! Step aside, vegetarians!
I have the best homemade burger recipe, and you’ll never guess where I got it from. It’s actually inspired by my Greek heritage. Greeks making burgers? Sounds weird, right? Let me explain to you:
I developed this recipe from a lamb dish my relatives have made in the past. They would rub lamb chops down with oregano, garlic, and a few other spices. It has always tasted amazing! So, I decided to try the same idea with ground beef, and it turned out perfectly.
If you take a look at the ingredient list, it’s almost like a Greek meatloaf recipe. That’s why these burgers taste so good. They’re dense and hearty, but they’re full of flavor! The healthy way to cook these burgers is in some olive oil, but I would suggest frying them in canola or vegetable oil for a crispy finish.
Then, all you have to do is put the burgers on a fluffy bun and top them with your favorite burger toppings. They’ll still taste great with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, or whatever else you would want on your patty!

Quick Tip: Your regular burger toppings taste just as good on this burger! Now it just has more flavor!
