What’s an already perfect food that could be taken way over the top by bacon jam? Grilled cheese! The ooey, gooey cheese and butter bread are the perfect vessel for enjoying this divine spread. All the flavors meld as the sandwich fries, and when you take your first bite you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven.
This sandwich is my husband’s new favorite food, and I make them any time we need a quick meal. For our family nothing beats a bacon jam grilled cheese, and I think your family will love them just as much. Give them a try today!
Ingredients
4 slices sour dough
2 tablespoons butter
3 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced
3 ounces Manchego cheese, sliced
2 tablespoons bacon jam
Instructions
Heat a large pan to medium heat.
Lightly butter one side of each slice of sour dough.
On the other side, spread with bacon jam.
Divide the cheese between the slices, then cook them butter side down on the hot pan.
Cook about 3 minutes per side, or until cheese is nicely melted and bread is browned.
Cool slightly and serve.
