“Secret Recipe” Ingredient Elevates This Soup To Extraordinary Status
Okay, folks – time to get out that slow cooker and put it to good use once again. Ah, but what to make that is going to satisfy even the pickiest eater in your household? How does a nice big batch of savory soup sound? This “secret recipe” soup of Jacqueline’s is just the thing!
There must be a million different soup recipes floating around the Internet that have beef as the protein ingredient: ground beef, sliced beef or beef in chunks. All of these are quite tasty, I’m sure. But how many soups have you ever found a recipe for that have Italian sausage as the main ingredient? This is the only recipe that I have seen using this ingredient, which makes it worthwhile adding to your collection of soup recipes.
But what “good” is any soup if it doesn’t taste good? Well, a soup like that would be absolutely “no good,” at all – pun fully-intended! You won’t have to worry about this soup not being tasty – it has all of your favorite veggies to sing along in the chorus, backing up the solo notes of the Italian sausage. This soup overflows with carrots, celery, onions, peas, corn and tomatoes.

Quick Tip: This is definitely a soup that you will want to keep on hand in your freezer. If you do plan on freezing a batch, be aware that the potatoes will break up as they thaw. This doesn’t affect the taste of the soup, just its appearance. Make sure that your soup has cooled to room temperature before you freeze it.
