Addictive Sweet and Spicy Wings Are Perfect for Any Celebration
I love football season, but not for the game itself. Instead, I love it for the food! From tailgating to game day parties, there’s always something tasty to snack on. I like finding new recipes to add to my game day celebrations, and this sweet and spicy sticky wing recipe drew my eye immediately. I love hot wings on game day – after all, you’re just sitting there watching, so you can get your hands dirty if you want. And this recipe looks complicated, but just a few simple steps are all it takes to create some amazing wings. The final charring process takes this recipe from great to absolutely amazing, and everyone I served these to has asked for the recipe.
This one comes from Spicy Southern Kitchen, and be warned that there is some heat to these wings if you don’t care for that. The dusting of sesame seeds at the end is perfect for setting off this appetizer, which does have a Southeast Asian influence in the flavor combinations. Big thanks to Spicy Southern Kitchen’s chef, who created one of my favorite sticky wings to date with this recipe. I’ll be making it again for many more game days.

Quick tip: Be sure to drain the chicken wings after removing from the crock pot, and pat dry before using, which will help the sauce caramelize.
