It’s True, You Really Can Make Great Fried Chicken in the Oven
I can’t say that I’ve ever met anyone who didn’t like fried chicken. But meeting someone who likes to fry chicken is a different story. It’s a messy process that involves multiple steps and it takes up lots of counter space to do it right. For some, frying chicken is so ingrained in their abilities as a chef that they don’t mind – but for others, like me, searching for a better way is a never ending journey. Or is it? I may have found the answer in this recipe from Living Locurto.
Oven-baked fried chicken has never worked out for me. I always end up with soggy, limp chicken that wasn’t very appetizing for anyone in the family. But this recipe combines a few unique ingredients in the coating to create a perfectly crisp chicken tender every single time. In fact, I’ve cooked this recipe more than half a dozen times now, and haven’t been disappointed once.
Big thanks go to Living Locurto for finally giving me the easy and neat way to make fried chicken any time of the day. Kids love this, adults love this, family and friends love this, and it’s easy to bring to events and get-togethers. Tossing together a batch is easy thanks to a quick shake in a Ziploc bag!

Quick Tip: Although this recipe has already converted the doneness into a cooking time for you, the best indicator of doneness for chicken is temperature. If you’re concerned, check the chicken with a thermometer – you’re looking for 165 degrees at the thickest part of the chicken.
