Stop Flipping Your Eggs And Make Omelettes This Better Way Instead
I am not one for flare in the kitchen. I’ve tried. I’ve tried flipping omelettes one handed without a spatula. They’ve hit the floor or slid down the side of the oven more times then they’ve landed awkwardly in the pan. I’ve tried the neat roll out of the pan as demonstrated on Master Chef, only to have a weird pile that looks more like flattened scrambled eggs on my plate. What I love about this recipe is that it all goes into one bowl, whisk together, and then straight into the well greased waffle maker. Set a timer and return to a nice fluffy evenly cooked omelette. The result is delicious.
While it won’t win me points at any cooking auditions this recipe is one I love for myself and the kids all give it a fun thumbs up. It’s an easy way to get them helping in the kitchen as well. The waffle iron is safer then standing over the oven and simpler to take turns with. Cuts down on the fighting, cleaning (because I’m not scrapping it off the side of my oven or floor), and time.

Quick tip: Make an omelette waffle bar! For a fun weekend brunch set out bowls of omelette fillers and toppings. Let guests, or little people, whisk up and create their own easy to make omelettes.
