Inside each of these mouth watering delicious burgers is a mound of cheese, onions and bacon that melts together when grilled to create the most drool worthy burger bite you’ll ever experience. And the burger patty itself gets extra flavor from a healthy dose of beer and seasoned salt mixed into the meat before forming into patties.
It was love at first bite from my family, and we’ve been stuffing burgers at family get togethers ever since. We’ve tried a lot of combinations but come back to this one again and again—it really is that good. You’ve gotta try it!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup (240 mL) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup (120 mL) chopped onion
1/2 cup (120 mL) crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) seasoned salt
2 tablespoons (30 mL) flat beer
Directions:
Combine bacon, onion, cheddar cheese and set aside.
Mix beef, spike, and beer, then shape into 6 thin patties.
Put bacon/onion/cheese mixture on 3 patties. Top with remaining patties and press edges to seal.
Grill, broil or pan fry until well done (internal temperature of 165 degrees F.), about 4-5 minutes per side.

Quick tip: You can make smaller burgers with this recipe but will need to adjust the amount of filling mixture you add to accommodate the smaller amount of beef.
