My mom hardly ever busted out her crock pot, but mine is my favorite appliance in the house. And how couldn’t it be when it makes such easy and delicious Crock Pot Chili! With just a few ingredients tossed inside I can walk away and get to work while my slow cooker makes my chili for me.
I stick to a recipe that’s simple with just a few ingredients that I consider chili classics—ground beef, beans, chili powder, tomato sauce and onion—and love the results. It makes perfectly comforting and cozy chili that my whole family loves. Try it and see how easy and tasty it is for yourself.
Ingredients
1 large can tomato sauce
1 pound lean ground beef
2 cans beans (kidney beans are fine, but you can use whatever you like)
2 tablespoons chili powder
1/4 cup diced onion (or onion salt)
Instructions
Combine all of this into a crock pot. Add salt and pepper to taste. Turn it on low and walk away for eight hours. Add a quarter of a cup of water for every additional two hours you intend to cook it.
