Easy, Healthy and Delicious? You Can’t Beat That For Supper!
Growing up I was absolutely convinced I did not like seafood. If it spent the majority of its life in water I was guaranteed to turn my nose up and avoid eating it at all costs. This was much to the chagrin of my father who adored fishing and loved serving up his latest catch to our family. Fortunately, everyone else loved it, so I mostly managed to slip under the radar.
And as I got older and moved out it became apparent to me that not liking fish and seafood was actually a pretty strange trait. I can clearly remember a college boyfriend’s shock when on our first date I wasn’t thrilled he was taking me to a local seafood restaurant. (I went to school on the east coast where they have some really excellent seafood—so I could kind of understand his confusion.)
That was kind of a wakeup call for me. Maybe I shouldn’t continue shunning all things sea food and instead give it a try again. After all it had been years since I tried anything new.
So I began asking friends and family for their favorite seafood recipes that they thought someone who was new to the flavors and textures would appreciate.

Quick tip: Adjust the seasonings to what you like best—in addition to salt and pepper I like to add garlic powder and cayenne pepper for a little heat.
