Satisfy Any Sweet Tooth With These Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns
When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time hanging around with a particular friend and her family. Her family was much more loud and exciting than mine, having many brothers, sisters, and cousins, but what I remember most about being at her house was the way her grandmother would feed us breakfast every morning, without fail. And if I happened to be there on a Saturday morning, I was always offered one of Grandma’s famous caramel pecan sticky buns. My mother had never made anything like these, and I still recall the very first time I ever sunk my teeth into one. The sticky caramel, the sweet glaze, the delicious yeasty bread, the slight crunch – all of it combined together to become heaven in my mouth. All these years later, I can still taste those buns.
So recently when I was craving something sweet, I thought to myself why not try to recreate that recipe? My own attempt was a disaster, so I turned to the mastermind chef behind Chocolate with Grace. This recipe is just like the one that my friend’s grandmother made, and while it does take a little bit of work, the results are so worth it!

Quick tip: Be sure to keep the water for the yeast proofing step at a warm temperature, not hot. If it feels hot to the touch rather than warm, it’s too hot.
