It’s Time To Bust Our Your Crock Pot—This Recipe Will Have You Drooling
Let’s just get this out on the table—I’m weird. I don’t like soda (or pop for those of you who call it that). And not in the “I’m trying to be healthy and convince myself I don’t like soda” kind of way. I mean I have never, ever liked soda. Even as a kid I didn’t want it—it baffled my parents and my soda-loving siblings.
I think part of it is the carbonation. There’s something about it I find off putting, which is probably why you won’t find me sipping sparkling water or champagne either. I’m much happier with a glass of sweet tea or lemonade. But one thing I don’t mind? Cooking with soda!
I find the actual flavors of soda to be quite tasty, so if I can incorporate them into a recipe I’m all for giving it a try. And in fact one of my all-time favorite recipes is made with soda, although you’d never guess it when you try it.
A childhood friend and I have an annual get together with our families, and last year she made the most delicious beef roast I had ever tasted. Made with—you guessed it—soda!
