The Humble Veggie That Is Quietly Taking The World By Storm!
Don’t you just get bored to tears eating the same old things, over and over again? That monotonous rotation of food drives me right up a wall! Oh, I can eat the same thing for breakfast without too much of a problem. I think the reason why is that I am not fully awake when I’m eating breakfast, so anything resembling food will suit the purpose. But if I am conscious, and it is lunch or dinnertime, I want to be inspired by my meals.
It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or gourmet in nature – in fact, simple foods are often my favorites. That is why I responded favorably when I saw this great, simple little recipe that Sandra posted. I has one of my favorite veggies, it has one of my favorite flavor profiles, and it doesn’t take long to prepare. This is an ideal meal, as far as I am concerned, as it has both protein and veggies.
As if all of that weren’t enough to make this recipe one I will collect and use – you cook it all in the same pan, from start to finish. I really like that type of economy, because there is little that I hate more in life than having to wash a bunch of dishes!

Quick Tip: Another, perhaps better, way to soften up the cabbage is to put between ¼ – ½ cup of water in the pan, add the cabbage, cover the pan and steam it on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Give it a stir and steam it 10 more minutes. Works like a charm!
