People Can’t Stop Sharing This Recipe!
I am a huge sandwich fiend. I’ve pretty much never had a sandwich I didn’t ike, and you can bet that if I’m allowed to choose the place to eat it will be a sandwich joint of some sort because I just really can’t get enough.
I think my sandwich obsession began as a young kid. I have fond memories of my dad packing my lunch every night. It was always a sandwich and he always let me choose what to put on it. Sometimes it would be his “special secret” PB & J (a regular peanut butter and jelly sandwich with marshmallow crème hidden inside!) and other times it would be a ham sandwich (always extra ham) with cheese and a healthy dose of mustard.
But no matter what I was I was always excited for that sandwich the next day—even more so than recess. (Yes, I was a weird kid.)
Now as an adult I’m coming up with new ways to share my sandwich love with my own family in hope that someday they will also think that sandwiches should have their own food group. With this recipe I think I’m close to converting them!

Quick tip: This also makes a delicious topping for pasta—I like it with penne.
