We’ve Given This Classic Treat And Even Sweeter Twist That’s Better Than The Original

I hope I’m not the only one out there who can admit this, but once my kids started school I didn’t find myself leaping up and down, shouting “me!” to volunteer for every field trip and classroom activity. In fact, outside of the occasional stop in to have lunch with my kids when they asked (if only they still did!) most of my contributions to their school were of the financial nature.

It wasn’t for lack of wanting to, but my job wasn’t exactly what you’d call flexible and getting off of work was often more hassle than it was worth. That being said I totally rocked at snack time and volunteered to drop of the snacks for any occasion that needed them.

This was back before peanut allergies were quite as common as they are now, but I can still remember trying to find peanut-free options because of one little boy in my oldest daughter’s class. He was such a sweet heart that I wanted to make sure he could enjoy what I brought in, too.

I’ll be the first to admit that finding tasty and peanut-free snacks isn’t always easy but every now and then I’d come across one that I knew would be a winner.

Quick tip: You can use white chocolate chips in place of the bars of white chocolate if allergies aren’t a concern for you.
