A Simple Delicious Salsa For Game Day

Colorful, Fresh And Perfect With Or Without Chips

It’s that time of year again when we are all headed to our couch or a friends, a big plate of wings and bowls of chips easily accessible, as we sit on the edges of our seats and watch the big game unfold. While everyone else is gearing up for Halloween chocolates, Thanksgiving turkey, and Christmas cookies my mouth is watering for football food.

A little preperation before a game goes a long way. The best football parties start with the size of the television screen. Even if it’s just me I want to be able to see! The next important part is seatting. I don’t have a large living room but it’s big enough and cozy. We throw in some extra chairs and floor cushions and we all have plenty of space. We’re cuddled in close enough for fist bumps and passing the food, because food, next to the game itself, is the absolute most important part of the evening. The game might be a disaster but the food never is.

It’s always more fun when everyone brings a dish and this cowboy salsa has become my signature. Jeff brings the wings, Tanya brings the cheese dip, and I’ve got this delicious fresh cowboy dip. There is NEVER any left to take home.

Quick tip: Purchase slightly firm avocados. Save the soft ones for the guacamole.
