None of the Mess and All of the Stuffed Cabbage Flavor

Turning weeknight meals into something that is easy, delicious, kid-friendly, and keeps the dishes to a minimum is an act of powerful magic. I’m convinced that it takes a wizard to come up with something that everyone will love and that keeps me from having to babysit a kitchen all night. But this recipe from Wonky Wonderful hits all the right notes, and in a way that lets us try something different from the norm. Stuffed cabbage is something that I have only had a few times. It’s delicious, but not necessarily kid friendly unless you grow up eating it.

Turning it into a casserole is a great way to make this meal the one-pot dish your whole family can love. With rice and a few vegetables thrown in for good measure, plus healthy ground turkey that keeps it light on the calories, this dinner is great for anyone trying to lighten up their dinner table. But plenty of cheese keeps it from getting too boring. I tried this once to great reviews from the family, so I do believe we’ll be making it again when we get the craving for something outside our norm. Thanks go to Wonky Wonderful for such a great recipe.

Quick tip: Don’t have quick rice? Cook your favorite rice and add it to the dish at the end of the cook time.
