Calling All Chocolate Lovers—This One’s For You
Is there anyone else out there who is still clinging to the notion that Valentine’s Day can be fun and romantic despite the fact that it’s become a pretty commercial holiday? And by romantic I don’t mean it needs to be celebrated with dinner at a five-star restaurant and diamonds. I mean it’s still a great time to go out of our way and do something a little extra special for the one we love.
Idon’t know why but I’ve always been partial to this holiday and love creating an extra special dessert fo the occasion. My husband has a huge sweet tooth and loves just about any dessert I make, but if it’s something extra chocolatey he’ll be even more in love.
For the first few years of our marriage I made him homemade brownies because I knew he’d love them and that I could pull them off every time. But this last year I wanted to try something different. And this recipe was absolutely perfect.
I brought them out to my husband after we finished our meal and waited in anticpation for him to take his first bite. Then his eyes lit up and I knew I’d found a winner.
