Quick Breads Don’t Get Much Better Than This Family Favorite Recipe
Can we all just come together and agree that quick breads are one the of best types of foods to exist on the planet? I mean they’re so versatile. Throw some chocalate chips in one and you’ve got a super easy dessert. Or slice off a small slice for an afternoon snack. And if you haven’t eaten a slice or two for breakfast on at least one occasion you’re seriously missing out.
See what I mean? One small, unassuming loaf is perfect for just about any time of day. So when I visited my grandmother the other day and she had a new quick bread recipe to try I was all in.
It started like any other visit. We sat down in her living room with mugs of tea and a tray full of snacks and started catching up on what had happened since our last visit. The only problem was I was having a bit of trouble concentrating—the tantalizing slices of bread on the coffee table were calling my name!
However, my grandma seemed determined to continue on with her story about her most recent travels before we dug in.
But let me tell you, friends, the wait was worth it!

Quick tip: This recipe can be turned into cinnamom sugar pumpkin muffins—just adjust baking time to about 20-22 minutes (or until toothpick comes out with just a few crumbs).
