I often wonder if there are other families as football obsessed as mine. It would be comforting to know that we aren’t the only crazy ones who start counting down the days until August in the beginning of February or haven’t missed a game our team’s played in over 10 years.

But I wasn’t always a super fan like my husband. No, I started out with a more casual level of fandom—happy to watch the game if I caught it on TV or was invited to a watching party but not overly concerned if I missed one or two. When I met my husband, though, it was pretty much inevitable that I would end up liking the sport as much as he did—his enthusiasm for the game is infectious!

Although, it doesn’t hurt that we turn every game day into an excuse to cook up some tasty food and invite a few friends over. A game day is always more exciting when the food is good and the company is even better.

After getting a little tired of our usual game day fare last season, we decided to give some new recipes a try. And we were not disappointed!

Quick tip: You can make this with any pulled pork recipe; just make sure it’s enough to generously fill the ring.
