Easy, Delicious And Impressive—The Perfect Treat Trifecta
I’ve got a bit of a reputation amongst my coworkers as the crazy baker lady. I’ve been with my company for five years and every Friday without exception I bring in some sweet treat for us to share and get through to the weekend. It started out as something simple—cookies made with store bought dough—and has transformed as the perfect opportunity to try new recipes.
I’ve had some winners (I made a praline bundt cake that may be the best thing I’ve ever tasted) and some losers (I’m not sure I’ll ever achieve perfect macarons), but it’s always fun to experiment.
My favorite recipes to try are usually ones that my coworkers request. I love finding out everyone’s tastes. I know a couple people who’ve confessed they absolutely can’t stand chocolate (I know, I couldn’t believe it either) and others who are staunchly opposed to nuts in just about any dessert. And still others who only eat dessert with fruit in it.
It’s posed some great challenges and has let me find some of my new favorite recipes—including these drool worthy beauties.

Quick tip: Leave off the powdered sugar coating for a pure chocolate cookie.
