These Are Better Than We’ve Ever Had—Totally Worth The Indulgence
I have never been one to shy away from a recipe that some might consider “too much” or over the top. I love nothing more than tucking into some comfort food on a cold winter day or stopping for a big scoop of ice cream as often as I can in the summer. Life’s too short to always say no to the good stuff!
That being said I’m usually the one to bring a dish or two to any event that gets people heads to turn and their mouths watering. What can I say? I like to spread that comfort food feeling. I’ve got my recipe for classic mac and cheese down. And chicken and dumplings? Have that one mastered, too. And don’t even get me started on my famous cinnamon rolls.
But there has been one recipe that has always eluded me and never turned out as good as I had hoped. Au Gratin Potatoes have been the thorn in my cooking skills side since the first recipe I tried many years ago—and many lackluster batches have been made since. But I have to say I’ve finally found the recipe I’ve been searching for!

Quick tip: These taste even better the next day so bake them the night before you need them and pop into the oven to rewarm before serving.
