You’ll Drive Your Husband Wild With This Dinner Winner

My husband came home from work the other day, and he mentioned that I haven’t made one of his favorite dishes in a really long time – Classic Chicken Pot Pie. I had forgotten how long it has been, and I felt so bad because it really is his favorite dinner!

I’ll admit, I have the perfect recipe for this classic dish that comes out of the oven smelling absolutely divine every time. The pastry dough is always flaky, there’s just the right amount of liquid in the filling, and every bite is intensely moist and rich – mm!

It is such a classic dish. There are plenty of healthy vegetables (which happens to be my favorite part), a homemade white sauce, and, of course, lots and lots of tender chicken. While the pie crust I use is store-bought (I’ve never had luck making my own unfortunately), the rest of it is 100% made from scratch!

It feels good making something that your family loves and that you know is good for them. All you need to make the homemade chicken pot pie is a few simple ingredients, fresh vegetables, and your favorite store-bought pastry dough. I’ll keep the brand I use a secret because only my husband gets the best of the best!
