These Are The Best Stuffed Shells We’ve Ever Had
For the longest time I had an aversion to pasta. I know, so strange right? Not seafood or vegetables but pasta. I’m pretty sure my parents just thought I was claiming to not like pasta to mess with them. But when I was younger there was just something about the texture of pasta that I didn’t find pleasant. However, like a good, dutiful child I ate it until I went to college.
And then I didn’t touch it again for three whole years. That’s like a decade in pasta eating time.
Then a new boyfriend came into the picture and showed me the error of my pasta-free ways. For one of our very first dates he invited me over to his apartment for a homemade dinner. Not one to pass up a free meal with a cute boy I, of course, accepted his invitation.
As soon as I walked into the apartment I could smell the garlicky aroma of tomato sauce and my mind immediately went to pasta. Sure enough, just as he led me into the kitchen he said ”Hope you’re hungry for stuffed shells!”
When it was time to take my first bite I prepared myself to pretend I liked it. But to my surprise I was instantly in love.

Quick tip: Use the meat sauce recipe with this dish to top other pastas—it makes a great sauce to go with spaghetti instead of meatballs.
