Homemade Doesn’t Have To Mean Hard To Make
I’ve got a confession to make: I LOVE Mexican food. I could literally eat if every single day and never get tired of it if my kids and husband didn’t insist that I mix things up a bit and make some dishes that don’t include tortillas or taco seasoning.
And, I mean, if there is one downside to my Mexican food addiction it probably would be that those little packets of taco seasoning from the store aren’t exactly cheap—even if you stock up when they’re on sale like I do. But I just can’t help myself. I try to ignore my cravings but they just come back stronger than ever.
Have a taco, they say. Just one more pan of enchiladas, they suggest. (Please, tell my I’m not the only one with thoughts like this??)
But I had been trying to limit the amount of taco seasoning I buy (sadly—oh so sadly) and was slowly but surely starting to feel like a normal, non-Mexican-food-obsessed person. My family was happy, and I was dealing with it.
Until I found this recipe. Now it’s all Mexican food all the time. Sorry, family!

Quick tip: One batch seasons two pounds of ground beef mildly. If you like a little more spice use the whole batch for one pound.
