Creamy, Rich and Easy To Make- This Chowder is Too Good To Be True

I absolutely love a good chowder and how could you not? They are so hearty, filling and will instantly warm you up on a cold day. Some chowders however take a while to make and that definitely discourages me sometimes from whipping up a batch. Next time I am craving some chowder but short on time, this recipe is going to be my savior (and to be completely honest, I will probably just use this recipe every time I want chowder as it tastes so great).

Peeling and chopping the potatoes and cooking the bacon for this chowder are probably the hardest parts of the whole recipe. That means that pretty much anyone could make this even the most novice chef. The rest of the ingredients are thrown in the crock pot and everything is cooked together for hours- ohhhh the delicious smells that will fill your house while this soup cooks….so well!

Half of the soup is pureed which is why this chowder is so creamy and thick- don’t skip this step! Heavy cream makes this dish so rich that while you may reach for a second bowl, one dish will completely fill you up! So if you love chowder, try this recipe now- it will only take you about 10 minutes to put together.

Quick tip: Add some of the bacon or ham to the blender when you puree the potatoes for a nice, secret layer of salty flavor.
