You’ll Impress Everyone You Know With This Stunning Apple Pie
Do you guys have a signature recipe? You know the one—you turn to it time and time again whenever you’re asked to bring something to a family dinner or other social event. More often than not it became you’re signature recipe because you’re just really darn good at making it, and people look forward to you bringing it whenever you get together. Want to know my signature dish? Apple pie.
I know, I know. You’re probably thinking what is so special about apple pie—nearly every one has made it at least some point. Not to mention pies a generally considered a seasonal dessert (unless you’re a member of my family where they consistute their own food group.) But I’ve gotta say it: my apple pie really is the best.
I will admit, though, that my pie wasn’t always so highly sought after. When I first started baking I had more than my fair share of pies that were a little…uh, underwhelming. Even my husband—the biggest pie lover I know—was always more than happy to stop after just one slice.

Quick tip: In a pinch you can use canned apple pie filling for this recipe—but the texture won’t be the same. To help give it a little more flavor add a few dashes of cinnamon and apple pie spice.
