You Only Need One Pot To Make This Main Course!
You’ve probably had regular meat and potatoes before – it’s a classic meal that’s easy to make. My aunt makes this fabulous version of it though, and I’ve never had meat and potatoes quite like this.
After a lot of pleading on the phone, she finally let me in on her secret: she uses white wine in her recipe! Now that I think about it, it makes sense as to why this dish tastes so better than all the others I’ve had, even my own!
You can’t really taste the white wine by itself in the final product, but you can taste how the wine brings outs the lighter flavor of the potatoes and the tenderness of the meat. Even better? You only need one pot to make this recipe.
I love recipes that don’t make a lot of dishes, and I’m sure I’m not alone on that thought! I’ve brought my Aunt’s version of meat and potatoes to my church’s potluck recently, and everyone really loved it! I think everyone was expecting the same boring flavors we’re all used to in this meal, but you could see the surprise in their eyes when they took their first bites! Now everyone wants the recipe to make it at their home!
