Can’t Choose Between Pizza and a Sandwich? Makes These Bites Of Heaven!

I don’t often find myself struggling for dinner ideas too often. I love grocery shopping (without kids—I’m not that weird!) and find making a weekly meal plan to be a fun Saturday afternoon activity (okay, maybe I am that weird). To me there’s just nothing like coming home to a dinner already decided and all the ingredients at hand.

However, I haven’t always been this way. When my kids were really young I found it difficult just to remember what day it was—much less if it was the day I was supposed to plan meals. So that meant that for a lot of dinners I was left scrambling and trying to come up with something that would at least be “good enough.”

This recipe was the result of one of those nights. But they are far from good enough. In fact, they are sinfully good. My mouth is watering just thinking of them.

I served them one night for a quick dinner when my brain literally couldn’t think beyond the first few items my eyes landed on in the fridge and pantry and one of our favorite meals was born!

Quick tip: If you prefer sausage over pepperoni on your pizza you can substitute Italian sausage (sweet or spicy depending on your taste) for the meat in these sliders.
