WOW! Easy and Tasty!
Yes, really! There are only four ingredients required to make this hearty and satisfying dish. Not four main ingredients and a bunch of little add-on ingredients required to give it some taste. Just four ingredients. Period.
The preparation method couldn’t be any easier, either. Everything is just loaded into a baking dish and it is ready to be put in your oven. Bing, bang, boom – dinner is one the way!
Now comes the only hard part of this recipe: you have to wait until it finished cooking! Be prepared for the aroma coming from your oven to draw an admiring crowd, who will all want to know, “Is it done yet? When do we eat?”
Somewhat surprisingly, it is not the meat that you are waiting for to determine doneness, It is the rice. It is just going to take its good old time in cooking. That is the nature of rice. It is a very hard grain, and it takes it a long time to break down and absorb the liquid that softens it and makes it edible.
But you can use this pre-dinner time in constructive and/or fun ways. Do some tidying-up around the house, read a book, play a game with your family. Then the time will pass quickly and you’ll be surprised when your timer goes off.

Quick Tip: Want to speed up this dish? Pre-cook your rice to an al dente level of doneness and then follow the rest of the recipe, but set your oven for 350 degrees F and only add 1 can of water to your mushroom soup. The rice will finish cooking and absorb the liquid, becoming done at the same time as the chicken, after 25-30 minutes.
