The First Ingredient Is A Surprise, But It Makes This Bacon Casserole An All-In-One Meal!

I don’t know about you guys, but I always consider the colder months casserole season. By the end of the year, I’m way too tired to spend every night in the kitchen, just to wake up the next morning and get started on breakfast.

If this sounds like you, you’re going to want to try my Bacon Casserole. Oh yea, I mean bacon, baby! How could you have breakfast any other way? I’ve noticed with many other casserole recipe, there always seems to be something missing that leaves your meal slightly less filling than it really should be. Then you start making side dishes, and before you know it you’ve missed the point of a convenient casserole.

So, here’s my secret: I line the bottom of my casserole dish with French bread! All I do is slice off most of the crusty part, and I cube the pieces before filling the bottom of my pan. This way, each bite is way more filling at breakfast time, and you don’t have to use as much egg.

Loaves of French bread are usually only about 99 cents at the grocery store, so this doesn’t add much hassle to your grocery list. Of course, there is still mounds of cheese in my casserole recipe. Who could ask for more?

Quick Tip: Prepare and freeze this casserole ahead of time, and bake it whenever you’re ready to have it.
