The Easiest and Heartiest Way To Serve Breakfast For A Crowd
Whenever I have company stay overnight, I am always scrambling the next morning to make breakfast. I am constantly looking for something that will satisfy everyone and that I can make a lot of without spending too much time- I mean, I definitely do not want to be flipping pancakes or making eggs to order all morning. Breakfast casseroles are the way to go for sure when serving a big group.
This biscuits and gravy recipe is my absolute favorite new way to make breakfast for a crowd (heck, I even make it just for my husband and our kids to keep us full until lunchtime). First, you make a super tasty sausage gravy over the stove top- just some ground breakfast sausage, milk and spices will do it. This all gets poured into the casserole dish and then topped with some chopped up refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough. Into the oven it goes while you sit back and enjoy your morning coffee.
The casserole comes out of the oven golden brown, bubbling hot and ready for a hungry crowd. This is the perfect recipe to have on hand this holiday season for sure as it will warm everyone’s tummy’s and be a breeze to make during such a busy time of year! Enjoy!

Quick tip: Make the gravy the day before and simply pour it into the casserole dish along with the biscuits in the morning.
