You’ll Looke Like A Master In The Kitchen If You Make These Truffles

I’ve recently discovered that my husband doesn’t like most sweets. I’m talking cookies, cakes and pies! He says he could take them or leave them and wouldn’t be a bit the sadder for it. I was stunned. I love to bake (and eat) sweet  treats and have never been known to meet a dessert I didn’t like. And for the first 10 years of our marriage I was convinced my husband was the same way.

After all, he ate all the desserts I made and always said they were delicious. Turns out he was just too polite to tell me any differently. I only found out when I heard him tell him sister he didn’t want any of her leftover pie after we left a dinner at her house. Who turns down pie??

My husband, apparently, and now I’m silently weeping over the death of our shared sweet tooth. Now who was going to split desserts with me at restaurants?

Okay, maybe I’m being a little dramatic. But I was still a little hurt when I found out. And determined to find one treat that he couldn’t say no to.

Turns out he did have a weakness after all—chocolate truffles.
