Even A Scrooge Will Love This Christmas Crockpot Meal

We don’t have any snow in Las Vegas to help get us in the Christmas Spirit, but for me there is one meal that starts my Christmas Season off right.  For the last ten years, my local church has sponsored a community nativity event that is absolutely delightful.

We display over 400 nativities and couple the event with local musical performances.  So, the week between Thanksgiving and the first weekend in December, I spend my time helping to set up this massive event.  It is so much work, but it is truly a labor of love and the end result is astonishing to look at!

There’s nothing like a hot bowl of stew on a chilly winter night – rich and savory comfort food.  And of course, since you can smell it cooking all day in the slow cooker, you just know it’s going to be so tender and good.

My crockpot pork stew has a wonderful blend of flavors that can make a truly delicious gravy with meat and veggies – yum.  A family favorite for sure! It’s a chance to pause from the hustle and bustle of the commercial holidays and rejoice in the true meaning of Christmas. What a perfect way to start the month!
